Beirut has been reborn with Hope
a thousand times.

On August 4, 2020, Beirut was unexpectedly struck by a huge blast, a different kind of earthquake, resulting in more than 200 deceased beloved ones, more than 6000 injured, and 300000 displaced of our families. Our homes, hospitals, schools, businesses, and children’s playgrounds were cracked and some of them even collapsed.

The Youth of Hope Foundation, which has always striven to embody human charity in its mission at all levels, especially under Lebanon recent challenging circumstances, is working now, in a close cooperation with the Patriarchal Youth Department, to support all families who were directly affected and lost their homes, through direct assistance of all kinds: volunteering, providing food, household supplies, accommodation and restoration of houses…

Who we are

Youth of Hope

"Youth of Hope" was established as a result of the urgent need to respond to our youth needs and aspirations, as we strongly believe in their crucial role in building our Church and our beloved Lebanon.

Following extensive experience in accompanying young people through many Lebanese youth groups, and being aware of the need to provide them with all dedication in order to face the obstacles and problems that may jeopardize their presence in the country and their future at all levels, we decided to establish an NGO to take care of all their needs and provide the required support.

“Youth of Hope” was established on June 29, 2006, as a nonprofit organization under number 320/AD, inspired by the Apostolic Exhortation of Saint Pope John Paul II “A New Hope for Lebanon”, with blessings & guidance of Byblos Archbishop Bechara Raii (current Patriarch). It aims to cooperate and coordinate with Church pastoral youth committees, apostolic youth groups and all relevant actors in order to enhance their role and provide support for our young people wherever they are on all levels, spiritually, morally, psychologically, intellectually, academically, socially and economically.

Logo Explanation
From the depth of challenges and facing the civilization of death, today's youth yearn in a vertical dimension, to Hope represented by the sun, for Christ is the sun of our life, whose spiral shape symbolizes eternity. Young people, in turn, become bearers and witnesses of Hope, radiating it in a horizontal dimension. Both dimensions embody the dimensions of the cross, which constitutes the foundational event of human Hope. This event has turned the inevitable death into Hope of resurrection and eternal life.
